Freebies – Language Arts
These are items that I created to help us with our Language Arts class. I though someone else might find them useful, so instead of just deleting them I added them here.

Some simple checklists to break lessons down into short lessons. Some days we might work on two or more small lessons throughout the day and other days only one, instead of a structured schedule I use checklists. This way I can still see at a glance what lesson we are on but not have to do it on a specific day.
I created these parts-of-speech and punctuation sheets to be used over and over. I printed and laminated my sheets, then after we had a read a literature book (any good “living” book will work), we would pull out one of these sheets. We went over the concept either to learn or for review and then he would enter his answers into his reading journal. These worked well for us because he could practice the concept as many times as needed and move on when ready, no worksheets required. By using books that were well written he could see first hand how to use the concept.

I really like this idea, and I love how your sheets turned out and how you apply it to what they are reading. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
